A Bamiléké Association
Founded in 1986, we are the oldest Cameroonian association in Houston. Rooted in West Cameroon, LAFABAH exists to preserve cultural identity, foster unity, and build a strong, supportive community across generations. A Bamiléké is a person whose ancestral heritage is from the Western Region of Cameroon.

LAFABAH was created with a special emphasis on solidarity, mutual love, peace, and friendship among its members. We treat each other like brothers and sisters, standing together in times of happiness and in times of need.
We function as a family unit where everyone is treated as brothers and sisters. LAFABAH is a community of people who care about each other and care deeply about our brothers and sisters in the Western Region of Cameroon.
LAFABAH serves as a vehicle to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the Bamiléké people far from our motherland. We uphold our cultural values and teach younger generations what it means to be Bamiléké.
Through LAFABAH NextGen, we prepare the next generation for academic success, professional excellence, and responsible leadership in society.
We undertake development projects both locally in Houston and in the Western Region of Cameroon, strengthening infrastructure and opportunities for our people.
We bridge generations by connecting elders' wisdom with youth energy, ensuring our traditions and values are passed down while embracing progress.
We are a vibrant community of Bamiléké families and friends living in Houston, Texas.
We come together to celebrate our shared heritage, promote unity, and support one another as we build meaningful connections in our home away from home.
